Summer is here, and a whole week of endless summer rain is actually getting up my nerves. Rain can be a good thing, unless you get caught in it, and ended up with wet shoes and wet pants; when even an umbrella can do no good to deter the strong wind and rain…

Rain can be soothing sometimes, calming down the busy and hectic city, maybe even clean up the dirty air in Seoul. Imagine sitting in a coffee shop, enjoying your hot beverage while enjoying the rain drops outside through the window while listening to some blue jazz. That would be perfect you might think. Imagine again, being in the rain with heavy wind, and needing to travel up and down a hill to reach to a place where you need to go. Sometimes when I was driving, I never thought that rain could be such a trouble to anyone. But now I know how frustrating it could be to face this kind of weather, for pedestrian, or even motorcyclist, as I myself is a full time pedestrian in Seoul. Now, don’t you ever take your car for granted, or any kind of shelter as the matter in fact, as some people out there might be drenched wet without a dry pair of shoes to walk in, dry clothing to keep their body warm, or even a dry place to hide away from the harsh weather. Life is full with contradictions, don’t you think? Rain is what we need to bring life to this world, too much of it, everything, together with life, would be flooded away…

Love thy sun, whom shines after the rain
